My name is Mariam. I am originally from the Ivory Coast. When I arrived in Japan, the first months of wonder were quickly dissipated by the realities of daily life. Beyond the linguistic and cultural difficulties, my adaptation was even more complicated as I could not find any food or cosmetic products, nor a place to do my hair. If word of mouth is a very efficient way to communicate, it only works when you already have some knowledge. My knowledge being limited, I didn’t know where to find the information concerning the places where I could get these products. That’s why I had the idea to create this website to share and make available to the public having an interest in Africa and particularly to the newcomers lost like me when I arrived, the information I was able to collect over the years. This is a participatory site at the service of the community. Do not hesitate to communicate me a place that evokes Africa that deserves to be brought to the knowledge of everyone. Je m’appelle Mariam. Je suis originaire de la Côte d’Ivoire Lorsque je suis arrivée au Japon, les premiers mois d’émerveillement ont vite été dissipés par les réalités de la vie quotidiennes. Au delà des difficultés linguistiques et culturelles, mon adaptation a été d’autant plus compliquée que je trouvais ni produits alimentaires, ni produits cosmétiques, ni endroit pour me coiffer. Si le bouche à oreille un moyen de communication très efficace mais cela ne fonctionne que lorsqu’on a déjà des connaissances. Mes connaissance étant limitées, je ne savais pas où trouver l’information concernant le lieux où je pouvais me procurer ces produits d’où m’est venue l’idée de créer ce site pour partager et mettre à la disposition du public ayant un intérêt pour l’Afrique et particulièrement des nouveaux arrivants perdus comme moi lors de mon arrivée, les informations que j’ai pu collecter au fil des années. Il s’agit d’un site participatif au service de la communauté. N’hésitez pas à me communiquer un endroit qui évoque l’Afrique qui mérite d’être porté à la connaissance de tout le monde.
